Who we are

A co-operative hospital for everyone

The foundation of the Malappuram District Co-operative Ltd (M-352) was laid on 19 September 1985, with its registration under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act of 1969. This initiative marked a major milestone in the region's healthcare development.

Co-operative Hospital was originally founded as Malappuram District Co-operative Hospital Limited to provide affordable and quality healthcare to the community.

Our journey

Milestones that shaped us

1985

Foundation Laid

On 19 September 1985, the foundation of Malappuram District Co-operative Ltd (M-352) was registered under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act of 1969.

1985

Hospital Established

On 6 November 1985, Malappuram District Co-operative Hospital was established in a rented building with four doctors and a 40-bedded capacity.

1987

Inpatient Services Launched

On 28 October 1987, the hospital launched its Inpatient (IP) services, expanding care for the community.

1993

Own Building inaugurated

On 26 June 1993, the hospital began operations in its own building, constructed on 89 cents of land, providing a dedicated space for quality healthcare.

1999

Renamed PMSA Memorial

On 16 February 1999, Malappuram District Co-operative Hospital was renamed PMSA Memorial Hospital in honour of Pudiya Maliyakkal Sayyid Ahammad Pookoya Thangal.

Today

450-Bedded Super Speciality

Currently operating as a 450-bedded super-speciality healthcare institution with three units serving the diverse needs of the community.

Currently, the hospital proudly operates as a 450-bedded super-speciality healthcare institution with three units working together to provide comprehensive, specialized medical services to meet the diverse healthcare needs of the community.
